How to Convert PDF to Word

This tool converts your PDF document into an editable Word file (.docx) while attempting to preserve the original layout, text, and images.

  1. Upload Your PDF: Drag and drop your file into the uploader, or click "Select PDF File".
  2. Start Conversion: Once the file is uploaded, the "Convert to Word" button will become active. Click it to begin.
  3. Wait and Download: The server will process your file. This may take a few moments. When finished, a download for your new .docx file will start automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is it safe to upload my PDF files?

Absolutely. We prioritize your privacy and security. All uploaded files are processed securely over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We do not store your data; all files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within one hour after processing is complete.

How accurate is the conversion?

Our tool works best with text-based ("true") PDFs. It will extract text, images, and try to maintain the original formatting. However, complex layouts may shift. For scanned PDFs (images of text), the text will not be editable. We are working on adding OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to support scanned PDFs in the future.

What is a .docx file?

A .docx file is the standard file format for Microsoft Word documents (versions 2007 and newer). It is fully editable, allowing you to change text, move images, and adjust formatting unlike a PDF.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes. To ensure fast processing for all users, we currently have a maximum file size limit of 50MB per PDF.
